Needs are clear all over the world: poverty, loneliness, lack of clean water, lack of purpose, hunger and a longing for something bigger than what is known. There’s a new generation with an unparalleled passion to meet those needs, to leap out of comfort zones to walk with fellow man towards hope and Truth. The Convoy of Hope Internship program stands in the intersection of the world’s need and the deep desire of man to make a difference.
So what is the Convoy of Hope Internship program? Think of a 6 week or 3 month missions trip. Combine it with some education and discipleship with an added humanitarian element like the Peace Corps and you’re approaching a description of the Convoy of Hope Internship program.
Convoy of Hope Interns launch their term with a time of training in at the Convoy of Hope headquarters in Springfield, Mo, followed by compassionate work that meets physical and spiritual needs in the United States and around the world. Whether the teams build water filtration systems to help the more than 1 billion people who lack access to an improved water source, or feed those in need in partnership with local churches, or connect with various developmental programs, needs are met. Not only is faith shown, faith is shared. As an example of what’s ahead, past interns have served in Central America, East Africa, North Asia, Eurasia, the Philippines, and all over the United States. There’s more help and hope to give.
We are looking for the team God’s preparing for future terms, and would love for you to consider joining this cause. Search through the INTERNSHIP LINKS on the left, and contact us with any questions you have.
With great anticipation,
Matt Wilkie
